Hail and well met fellow travelers.
I would like to inform you of a special event coming next Friday, September 23. Emit will actually be performing live!
We haven’t had a show in months so you know all our musical energy will explode, once we get on stage, splattering beautiful music all across the conservatory.
So come out, show the head liners (Fair to Midland) some support. Help them keep their tour going. And most importantly, have a blast.

Week of Dec. 6

As the holiday season grows more hectic Emit too grows busy. Also School break is a week away. That being said we are going to take time off. We’re only playing a few shows this month a CD release in norman this Thursday and a private party. It’s important to take breaks so we’re making the most of ours.

The Release show was a big success with a large turn out. Also the three bands that played with us were wonderful. Tree Farmer was first, then WunderJazz, and The Rockettops played right before us. Big thanks to them for playing with us. Also we’d like to thank the four people who shot video and took pics, you know who you are! Lastly the biggest thanks goes out to all of you who came just to show us some love. It was much enjoyed.

We’ll start the weekly news updates back in February.
For those of you who read them every week thanks for the support. You’ll be happy to know that our time spent over the break will be enjoyable. We’re also going to start some recording for the next batch of songs.

We also have a big surprise once we get back. Trust me it’s something people have been wanting from us for a while and they’ll get it soon.

Week of Nov. 22 and the Epic Sauce Release Show!

Thank you for joining us this evening/morning/afternoon, this is a monumental week for Emit, and for the rest of the country.

Thursday is Thanksgiving, a time to get some good eats and tasty treats.

Friday is our super fun times grand release party! We’re releasing our new CD, “Out of Reaction”, our new DVD “Exposition” and some other merch themed to go with them.

So, last Friday Emit journeyed to Wichita, Kansas to play a show at the America’s Pub there. The venue was in a part of town called “Old Town.” This place had a super awesome feel and seemed like a great place to hang out with friends. We definitely want to go back. As for the venue it looks awesome as well. Caleb snapped some pics with his iPhone to share so enjoy.

Sunday we did a video shoot in Norman at OU. It was the tv/web show called “The Set.” Video students who take “The Set” as a class produce it. Each episode features a single band playing some tunes and doing an interview. For our set we played Emitting Light, Would You, Entrepreneur, Rivalry, and Enigma Sigma. They have six cameras, one of which is on a 10ft (I’m guessing) jib arm. It’s going to look saw-wheat! Once it’s finished we will be posting links for your pleasure.

Now to talk about something a bit serious, Emit has a very important task to ask each and every person reading this (even if you’re in the band). Come to the release show Friday the 26th in Bricktown at the ACM Livelink [323 E. Sheridan]. It’s only $5 dollars and it starts at 7pm.

We ask this of you because not only do we want to have a great crowd to play in front of, we want to give people a great evening. And even more so we have some wonderful bands [Tree Farmer, The Rockettops, WunderJazz] playing with us and we want them to have the craziest exciting memories of this show. If you have family (that you like) bring them! If you have super epic drama in your family, escape and hang with your friends and us. If you are lonely, come on! We’ll cheer you up. If you want to pick up ladies, or men if you’re so inclined, get your body there and start the smooth groove train. They’ll be all up in your business. Come out, have a great time, and support the beauty of making music!

Thanks all for tuning in! The weather is changing, and the end of the semester is coming fast. That being said, be wise and use your time as if wasting it was death, because it is.

As for Emit, we’ve got some good stuff coming up. Last weekend we began work on a new sign. It’ll have our name and the prices for our merch. It’s backlight with some LEDs and epic size at a little over 8ft.

Also we have an out of town gig this Friday in Wichita. That’s going to be a blast. Emit Road trips always are. We’ll be playing at the America’s Pub there.

We also have a video interview in Norman this Sunday. We’ll be playing a few songs as well. Once the video is posted we’ll share the link. It’s going to be a cool deal.

And of course the Release Party is coming up. So continue asking your friends and inviting anyone you barely know to come and enjoy the post-thanksgiving evening with us and the three other wonderful bands playing with us, Tree Farmer, The Rockettops, and WunderJazz.

Welcome all, thank you for spending some time catching up with Emit news.

It’s been a good week for us. We’ve been working on a new song that’s turning out to be very complex. It has some meter changes in it as well which are always fun. It is also currently the first song scheduled to have synth blade in it.

Our first release show, the one on the 24^th at America’s Pub, has to be canceled. The venue contacted us and told us they had double booked the night with some Real World MTV event. That being said we are not having a release show at America’s Pub.

But fear not we still have the show at the ACM performance lab [323 E. Sheridan
Oklahoma City, OK] on Nov. 26^th. It’s going to a fun memorable event that we want to share with as many people as we can. We’re working hard on promoting, but there’s only so much we can do. If there is anyone you know that would enjoy our music or the music of the other bands performing (Wunderjazz, Tree Farmer, and The Rockettops) please invite them and their friends.
